May17 KAL - Chunky Knit Throw BLOCK 3

This block is basic knit and purl stitches worked to a chart resulting in a snowflake pattern. I have included a link to a tutorial on reading the chart.
(Snowflake pattern) – You will need 3 of these blocks.
What You Will Need:
1 x 125g ball of Heirloom Merino Magic Chunky 16ply Yarn
1 x pair 9.00mm knitting needles or size needed to obtain correct gauge.
Row Counter (optional)
Gauge: 10 stitches x 14 rows over 10cm on 9.00mm needles.
K – knit stitch
P – purl stitch
sts – stitches

Cast on 31 stitches using cable cast on method.
Knit. 5 rows in garter stitch (Knit every row).
Row 6: K4, Purl to last 4 stitches, K4.
Row 7: Knit.
Row 8: K4, purl to last 4 stitches, K4.
Row 9: Knit.
Row 10: K4, purl to last 4 stitches, K4
Row 11: K4, Chart A (below), K4.
Continue to work pattern Chart A, remembering to knit your 4 border stitches in garter stitch at the start and end of every row.
Row 34: K4, purl to last 4 stitches, K4.
Row 35: Knit.
Row 36: K4, purl to last 4 stitches, K4.
Row 37: Knit.
Work 4 rows in garter stitch.
